Story 2.
Merletto d’Orvieto

Welcome to the first episode of Italian Vibes, Nexion’s journey in stages to explore the enchanting uniqueness of Italy’ Botteghe.

“The bottega was built around the mangle, which dates back to the 17th century. Its beauty lies in carrying out a craft that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.” In the ancient Stamperia Marchi, time seems to stand still, and this is the kind of magic reflected in the eyes of Alfonso and Gabriele Marchi.

Father and son are the proud heirs of the ancient tradition of stampa a ruggine (rust printing), “a craft that embodies the spirit of Romagna and can only be made there,” explains Alfonso, speaking of an art cherished everywhere, because, above all, “it brings immense joy to those who practice it”.

Our secret recipe turns rust in a charming color.

At Nexion, we place great emphasis on Design & Development. Our work spans the sourcing of the finest raw materials, the continuous adoption of cutting-edge technologies, and a deep understanding of the physical and artistic principles that elevate the aesthetic and technical performance of surfaces.

This heritage of know-how — echoing the closely guarded secrets of Italian artisan botteghe, passed down through generations — is what makes our creations truly unique, distinctive, and unrivalled.

“I was practically born here, and I began this job as a child, playing with molds.
In the end, I learned an art without even realizing it”.

Working as they did centuries ago: it’s part of Italian Style.
